Hi all, I have a few questions about a Motorola service monitor that I ma
trying to teach myself to use and have had some success and some questions
about it.
Let me first explain that this monitor is one of the newer
monitors that are mainly screen driven and it is not what I would call a
windows type environment but it is more of knowing what line or screen
you are in in, and today I got myself into something and managed to get myself
out after a few minutes of button pushing, and the analyzer is fine. I am
just wondering what luck have the rest of you with vision impairments had
with these screen driven monitors? I have just figured things out and
have remembered where I am in terms of lines and the number that my cursor
is on when I want to move up and down in terms of KHz incruments. I am
just wondering if anyone else has tried anything else with any success?
Also, I discovered by accident last week that I am able to discern
the bell shaped curve on the green monitor, but that is when I put my head
right next to the monitor, and as it turns out the head technician at work
is somewhat parinoied about RF radiation and a couple years ago he didn't
want me putting my face up to the monitor. I checked with my Motorola rep
and he doesn't think I have anything to worry about, but I am wondering if
anyone else has had problems from looking close up at a spectrum
analyzer's display? Any information would be appreciated, and thanks in
advance.
