I had one of those s1's.  Then I traded it in on Icom then bought a couple 
of htx202's one for me and another for kb3jhh.  I bought a thf6a out in 
Dayton 5 years ago and use it all the time for monitoring the weather 
conditions in Frostburg as part of my subnet /skywarn western coordinator
