Tom, I think the way Steve mentioned is the way to go.  I run about 12 feet 
of coax
from a Palstar 2 K tuner out to a balun outside then to the open 450 line to 
ainverted V which works good.  this way it gets the open feeders away from 
the op.  I melted the internal balun in my tuner so I am not sure they will 
handle the full power like the coax side.  73 Ed   K7UC
