Folks, I am now also in contact with th the developer of the k3 firmware and 
configuration utility.
I have also put him in touch with GW Micro for some help on making the 
software more screen reader friendly.
I expect a beta version in a few days to test.
I'll let you know what happens.
He seems very willing to help us.
