Hi Bill,

I still have both the Radio Shack HTX 202 and HTX 404 (the former for 2
meters and the latter for 70 Centimeters.) They were good items in their
day. My 202 has a bad final, but the 404 still works quite well.

Subject: radio shack 2 meter radios

Hello,
does any one remember the 2 meter Radio shack Handy talkies? I =
remember once looking at one in a radio shack store in a local mall in =
northern Kentucky. The salesman didn't know I was a amateur radio =
operater. He told me you could take that radio and get on a repeater in =
Florence Kentucky and talk all over the world. as far as I remember =
Florence didn't have a repeater. but that is another story.
