Folks, I got my Dear_ Patient_ Wonderful_ Wife,/And she is all 3To read and describe the units to me, and from those notes, and my personal observations,
Here's as much info as I can give you on the JBL Amplified Computer Speakers.
There Are Two Sets,
_In Every Discernable Way,
_Exactly Alike!
Both Sets, Both Pieces Of Each,/all four cases, are more or less of an Ivory colored hard tough plastic,
With very smoothe likely glood on, grill cloth,Over hard plastic front with many holes.
The units are roughly,
10High by 4Wide and 4Deep.
The Fronts And Backs Are sort of ovalish,
They're thinner front to back at the top and botton,
and about the same width at the top and bottom.
The sides, for lack of another word,
vevel inward down each side,
The vevel probably totals 3/4ths inch and runs vertically,
So that the centers of the sides are a little narrower from side to side,
Than they are at their extreme front and back edges!
There is no model number or SN listed,
The only identifier written on them is
JBL Platinum Series.
The Only Control Is An On-Off PushButton, Which stays depressed when unit is on,
Which is located on the right side of the master unit,
About an inch and a half from the bottom of the unit.
Just below that button is a
standard earbuds type female plug for headphones,
About a quarter of in inch below the earphones plug
Is another similar plug, that may be,
second earph, mic in, or line in!
There is _Nothing printed there,
There is a symbol which my wife didn't recognize.
On the left hand side of the main units,
And On The Right Hand Side Of The Slave Units,
are,
two sets of what appear to be little wheel type controls,
The sets are About an inch below the top,
and about two inches above the bottom. One of the wheels is ridged and feels about like a dime,
The Other is _Not ridged,
And None Of The Four Wheels or whatever they are, move at all.
(I have no idea whether they hide internal controls,
And I'm not going to open them up to find out!)
Then, about an inch up from the bottom group of wheels,
is a vertical, "[ovalish/piece is about an inch high/with oval pointing out, and maybe an eighth or sixteenth inch wide] rubber covered something,/This may be designed to
keep the units from sliding when they're placed on their sides, as there is no flattened bottom upon which they sit,
In the rear of the master units is
a row of two plugs, the leftmost, slightly recessed,
 is a power input for
a 12VDC 1Amp Barrell connecter, with nothing shown to indicate polarity.
About a quarter inch To the right,
Is an RCA female plug,
which feeds the slave speaker.
Slightly below the middle of those two plugs,
Is a hard wired 6footish shealded cable
With a standard earbud type stereo male plug,
Designed to plug into the sound source.
Each slave speaker has
in about the same place,
a similar shealded cable with an RCA Male Plug,
Designed to be fed by the main unit.

There Is/Are, _No Other Controls Or Visible Writing on the units!
They may have internal controls, and sound reasonably good.
But, honestly, after hearing all the hoopla about JBL, and knowing they are reasonably respected in the industry,
I was really mystified about these units.
Each Set Works, and I'd figured to sell them together, although would split if desired.
No Wall Wart Came With Them, and I don't have any extra 12volt WWs/although I can likely get a couple from a downstate friend if you desire,
I'm expecting a package from him next week, so figure 1Per Set Could Be Provided.
I do, however, have several 9volt WWs, 1 of which, per set, I'd gladly include if you want the units and don't want to wait.
That's about it, sorry it's so spotty, but I don't control JBL!
Let Me Know, and there's no obligation! Danny
