Hi all,
A newby to the list, I'm Tom Fowle WA6IVG and been aham since 1059 and extra
class ticket since 1979. Interests are mostly building projects and casual
C.W.

As colin says, the MCount frequency counter can be hooked to the MFJ209
analyzer to read it's frequency and the upcomming article in February QST
by my self and colleague Bill gerrey WA6NPC discribes how to build
a "VCO" that reads out the VSWR from the analyzer.

As I just joined the list, not sure if the info on purchasing the MCount
as a completed unit was put out there so hoping this isn't
a repeate:

The MCount morse readout 500MHz frequency counter can be had as a kit
from it's designer Chuck Olson, and as a complete unit in a nice plastic
box
with switches, connectors and an improved speaker.

find more info at:
http://www.w5usj.com/mcountbyw5usj

Now show me where you can get a 500MHz frequency counter for $45.00 post
paid
with a silly visual display.

Get one or be square! <GRIN>

Not sure if I'll be able to keep up with the list traffic as am on several
other high traffic lists and am supposed to do some work also, but hope to
lerk and occasionallyhelp some maybe too.

Hi folks,
the QSTs for Feb are arriving so here's the url for the full
text of the article
"Audioreadout for the MFJ209 antenna analyzer"
which the ARRL so kindly has made available for folks who can't get the
talking
book version.

This is copyright ARRL so don't redistribute etc. without permission but
use for personal purposes.

The zip file includes the full text and an MP3 demo I did.

have fun and 73s
