So what do you mean when you say it goes into record mode?   Does it 
start recording incoming audio?  Does it start to record a CW message 
from your keyer?  Or is  it starting a playback of something previously 
recorded?

Also, not trying to be snotty, but a better description of the problem 
and a  better subject line would   help you get a faster answer.

Hope you are enjoying the radio.   There are a boatload of buttons and 
features.  You get a lot for your money with this radio.
