Alpha Delta also makes the DXDD, which is a little over 40 feet long.
It works on 40 meters in about the same way Tom's antenna works on 80.
In other words, if you buy it, better have a very good tuner.
There is also the G5RV Junior, which is about 51 feet long. The same
tuner comment applies here as well.
Of course, either of these antennas placed in the inverted v
configuration do not take 51 feet of horizontal space.
You should also look at the 40 meter version of the Carolina Windom
from RadioWorks. It is 66 feet long. While it performs much better as
a flat top dipole, it can be installed as an inverted V. However, do
be aware that off center fed dipoles such as the Windom spray a lot of
RF energy around via the feed line regardless of what their builders
say about line isolators, etc. The best reduction for that issue is to
have the feed point and its associated vertical segment as high in the
air, and as far away from the house as possible.
Meanwhile, as others have already said, tell us more about your
vertical. Perhaps we can suggest ways to make it play better if you
think it isn't working properly.

Subject: Wire Antenna
Hello all,
Looking for suggestions for a 40 - 10 antenna. I am space challenged.
I have a Vertical now.
