I was reading the help file for the MCP software and in Japan, the WX is
replaced by Train frequencies around 340 MHz Also, the tone alert
activates the WX and a tone on the train freqs. Silences things.  Maybe
they don't want you chatting on the mobile rig when a bullet train is
racing toward the intersection.

The above is just a guess.  I can't find out much about those train
channels.

Mark,

The 71A has the weather frequencies and you can set it up to alert you. 
However, it doesn't have the clock.
