Richard,

When you had suggested the y splitter last week, I thought it might 
work, but suggested you ask Ameritron about it.

Looks like you are back to the age old problem of trying to get 2 things 
to work on the same comm port at the same time.  I guess the software 
has to release the port so the amp can use it.     Seems unpractical to 
have to close the control/logger software any time you want to change 
bands.

You can't be the only one doing this, so you should seek help from a 
higher authority.  Perhaps one the oracles at MFJ/Ameritron.
