Mike, I'd be willing to try such an antenna.  My only concern is that there are
some small children about who tend to mess around these apartments and I
wouldn't want one of them to get zapped.  Great way to find yourself in court
even if nobody got hurt and a chance you wouldn't want to take with a kid.  The
apartment is a first floor and the indow's about three feet off the ground.

I don't have an external tuner but would consider getting one.  Also don't have
a talking watt meter, only an swr which would likely be ok since I wouldn't be
running over 100w.
