Dave,

I wondered about the software.  That would be good information to have about 
it.  I failed to comment on my hearing; at least I think you commented on 
that.  I use, besides recordings, the DS-50 for playing DVS movies, some 
music, some commercial audio books, and things of that nature and the volume 
is fine.  I delete things after hearing them like the books and movies .  In 
fact, you can really crank one of those babies up.
