Richard,
    I am afraid that you will have a hard time finding such a phone.  My 
Panasonic is 2.4ghz and only one handset.  It does talk some.  But I have 
tried in vain to find a DECT or 5.8ghz phone with multiple handsets that 
offers talking features other than caller id.  Cant access the phonebook 
except via the display, cant even do it by say, pressing 3 to dial John Doe.
