I don't know why yours is skipping those numbers, I would hae to hook 
mine up to test, but there is no way for it to know what mic you have 
hooked up.  All those buttons do is ground the up and down buttons 
through various resisters, in other words unless a button is pressed, it 
is just an open circuit, no way for the radio to no or care.
