Subject: System Access

System Access is the screen reader from Freedom Box. You can use it
either in
the Freedom Box network, or as a stand-alone screen reader.

It has some interesting features, chief among which is the optional "Key
to
Freedom" U3-enabled flash drive, that allows you to access your screen
reader on
any XP machine, even if you don't have administrative privileges. Also,
you can
remotely access your own primary machine, and it will recognize if you
use JFW
or WE on the primary machine, and access is completely transparent. I
demonstrated this a couple months ago by accessing my home PC from a
remote
location on another ISP. It identified that I was using Jaws 4.51 and I
was
able to download my e-mail and create and send a message.

The other interesting thing about System access, is it works pretty much
like a
sighted person would in Internet Explorer. In other words, in filling
in a
form, you don't have to go into forms mode or out of Accessibility mode
as you
do with the regular screen readers. It will read Excel and Powerpoint
forms,
but the writing capability will be coming in another update.
