As long as you're aware that the icom interface is over priced, t hat's what
I was pointing out. The icom cable for the qsy'er will do just fine and I'm
sure the gigaparts interface will as well. It's not a bad radio to learn
once you're used to it it just takes a little getting used to. I have mine
in my go kit but I'm thinking about setting it up mobile and just making
sure I can pull it out in a hurry for go kit purposes. I just am not using
it as much as I was since I can't afford a vacation anymore and I was
running it with a local club for special events and all but they wanted to
go in a direction I wanted nothing at all to do with so I quit, now they
don't have anyone to do special events with and I have no use for that radio
but I think mobile will be fun.
