Hi Tom;

On the bottom left of the radio their are four small oblong buttons.

The button furtherest away from the mic connecter, going toward the right is the "MONITOR" button.

Just push it in.

That turns the monitor on.

While the monitor is turned on, if you push the button for one sec. and turn the vfo dial counter clockwise, you can adjust the monitor level.
