Congrats on the great effort, Lloyd.

The event was sure a lot of fun, and will be remembered by all of us who
participated as operators.

For those who didn't, hopefully you got to work and log lots of W1AW
Centennial stations throughout the year.

I enjoyed my 16 hours of phone and CW operation for Maryland in June and
December; more than 1,100 QSOs. I did the June logging in N1MM Logger, and
the December logging in N1MM Logger Plus with Window-Eyes.

Lou:

I was planning to operate CW for at least a bit in October when Michigan's
turn came up again, but as you may remember, other commitments got in the
way and I had to cancel my time slots.

Oh well, it was sure fun operating phone as W1AW/8 last February when I did
it for two hours back then, and I am thankful for the opportunity to have
done so.

Tom,

My intrepid XYL, Kathy, WB3KRN logged for me using QRZ.com plus I ran my
olympus recorder for the hour so I could proof things later. Good thing I
did because I found a couple callsigns that I had miss-copied in the
excitement. Working phone probably would've been easier on both Kathy and I
but, being a CW guy, i insisted on doing it that way.

Anyway, it was a great experience and a real kick to use the historic W1AW
callsign from my station. i don't currently have a computer in the shack but
I do mean to get scott's package online some day. I want to be
self-sufficient enough to be able to operate CW on field day or any other
contest. Thanks to you and several others on the list for stopping by and
giving me the contact. And Mike, I don't know if you actually called, but
there were a couple stations down in my noise that I just couldn't dig out.
I have a pretty high noise level on 80 which sure didn't help things.73. lou
