Hi!

 

FYI, I tried using a splitter on the TS-2000's COM port so that I could have
one DB9 serial cable going to my PC (for rig control) and another DB9 cable
going to an Ameritron ALS-1306 (for automatic band tracking).  This does not
work.  With both DB9s connected, PC rig control seems to work, but the 1306
does not track what band the TS-2000 is on.  When I removed the DB9 going to
my PC, leaving only the DB9 going to the 1306, the 1306 flawlessly tracks
whatever band the TS-2000 is on.  However, as such I have no rig control via
the PC.  This is untenable because I want both.

 

My "Plan B" now is to try connecting the 1306's DB9 directly to my PC and
share it on a "virtual" port.
