Hi.

The answer is no and yes.  If you specificly turn cross band on with the
TM-V71A controls, you can't control the radio.  If, however, you activate
the remote mode on the TM-V71A, you can control it with any HT that has a
touch tone pad.  I used my TH-F6A to control the 71A, and it worked well.
