absolutely.
In fact, I believe the radio will simply default to the last antenna port
used on that band.
So if you have your 6M antenna selected on 6M, and you go to say 20M and
already have the multi-band antenna selected, when you return to 6M, the 6M
antenna should still be selected.
I would have a quick glance through the menu guide to insure that you don't
have to turn on a menu to have the radio do this for you...it's similar to
how the radio remembers which mode, LSB, USB, AM, CW or FM you last selected
on that band by turning that feature on.
I don't recall what other radio settings can be automatically set for each
band, but the manual should indicate this.
BTW, either hf antenna port 1 or 2 can be used anywhere on the HF/6M bands
they are not frequency specific like the VHF and UHF antenna ports. And
fooie on kenwood for using different connecter types for vhf and UHF...all
it does is complicates matters when using a duplexer.

Subject: Can Antenna Selection Defaults be Setup on the Kenwood TS-2000?

Hi!

On my TS-2000, I have four separate antennas connected: one each for the
VHF, UHF, HF 1 and HF 2 connections. Now, I know that if I am on either the
VHF or UHF band the rig will default to that respective antenna. The issue
here relates to the HF 1 and HF 2 antennas; as described below.

On HF 1 I have a multi-band antenna, and on HF 2 I have a 6M antenna.
Ideally, I wonder if the rig can be configured so that if I am on the 6M
band (50 - 54 MHZ) it defaults to the HF 2 antenna, and if I am on any other
HF band it defaults to HF 1? Can this be done?
