What you may try is to change the program events to one minute past the hour
e.g. 11:01 PM or 6:01 a.m. that might help.

Hi All,

I have had a Kelvin talking thermostat for several years. It works pretty
well but sometimes seems to have a mind of it's own. At night it is set to
turn the furnace on at 55 degrees as we don't like the heater on at
night. From time to time it comes on anyway and when I check the setting
it has changed to 62 degrees. When I check the program it is still set at
55 degrees. I have noticed this change in set temperature at other times
also. If I were to do it again I would try the other brand. I don't need
the voice activation feature anyway.
