You're right. When there's a disaster a lot of times the cell phones do not work. We saw this with Hurricane Katrina.
Cell phones have their place but give me a radio in an emergency.
Also, people rely on the Internet too much. We need to remember HF AND 2-METERS IN AN EMERGENCY.
