Why not use Audacity to create your files.
It is free and accessible.
I am not a phone operator so can't help with your other issue.

Subject: AC Log's "Transmit Phone Setup" for a Kenwood TS-2000

Hi!

I want to setup ACL to send phone (audio) from my PC to my Kenwood TS-2000.
However, I need some help with the following:

1. I will use Windows "Sound Recorder" to make the various audio
files. Sound Recorder creates these files in .wma format, but the ACL Help
page refers to the .wav format. So, is .wma format OK?

2. For my TS-2000, how do I connect the PC's audio out to the rig so
that PTT is automatically engaged? That is, I know where to plug in to the
PC audio out (I.e., line out), but I am not sure where to plug in to the
rig. I am hoping that once I start the "send phone" function from ACL
(e.g., F1) PTT will be automatically turned on/off.
