Lightening is strange stuff. I had a tower up 76 feet and well grounded
with several rods. One strike hit a power pole about 50 feet from the tower
and split it down about six feet. another time it hit a tree in my front
yard about same distance from tower and blew all the bark off one side
splattering the bark across two streets in my neighbors yard but no damage
to my gear. Ed K7UC
