OK.
SO can you hear your puxing transmitting, with your kenwood, on the repeater 
input?
And vice versa? can you hear the kenwood transmitting on the repeater input 
with the puxing?
Meaning only on the input frequency, not through the repeater.
Perhaps do this test on a simplex frequency to find out if the radios hear 
each other.
You can trouble shoot these problems by eliminating one thing after another.
Any technical problem solving/trouble shooting must be done in a liniar 
fashion to remove each potential issue one at a time until you find the 
problem.
