I also would like to work, but "vague possibility of getting ahead," is your 
operative phrase.  Most blind people don't get lavishly paying jobs.  It 
seems to me that if our government has money to remove fish barriers from 
rivers, build new sports facilities every 20 to 30 years, and support other 
pork barrel projects it should have it to help the blind.
