I don't know what a reset would do for sure.  Have you pushed the button 
that turns off transmitter and puts ddrive to back rca jack?  I think if 
you hold the meter button, it will switch that on and turn transmit 
off.  Do you have carrier control turned to 40 or so?  Been a while
