Hi John, funny thing, I recently bought a TS2000 and have not been on HF 
with it, only two meter SSB.  I also have a TS480 which I am familiar with 
and it also has more accessible speech with the VS1 chip, but I am glad I 
have both rigs.  Have never had the luxury of owning two HF rigs until now,

Very very happy TS-2000 owner here and daily user. It's also a very good
radio. I haven't used the VHF/UHF on it in so long I barely remember how but
I use it on HF daily and I have no complaints.
