Hi Bud,

Well, glad I got there in time.

I got a TH79A last spring; without the proper doc. it is a little hard to
figure out. The one I got has been modified to receive out of band; I
really think it transmits there as well. But, I have had trouble
finding/changing the P L; and somehow I got the offset screwed up on 440,
so it has been a bit of a frustrating experience!! All the new technology
is really great but it can piss you off while you're learning it!!

Thanks for the manual. My address is:
414 N. Park BL
Glen Ellyn IL 60137.

Have you had a chance to sneak some kind of antenna for the TS940? Even a
bit of wire to receive with would be fun. If you care, there is some a m
above 29 mhz. Lots of boat anchors and the newer transceivers do well on a
m if you don't push the power too hard. Fun to hear a m once in a while.

Again Bud, thanks.
