Don't you have to log in to perform any searches?  If you log in, I would
assume that means that you are a member.  There are different levels of
subscription, but the main advantage of being a Premium, or above,
subscriber, is that you don't get screens full of advertising.  I was given
a Platinum subscription as a gift for Christmas or birthday, but I don't
notice any difference from when I was a Premium subscriber.

Unless it is due to the restriction of the number of calls that can be =
looked up at any given time.  If you aren=E2=80=99t a QRZ member, that =
restricts lookups.
