QSL, sorry for the erroneous version number in my post.  Just got home from
the hospital where I had been knocked out for the lung biopsy.  I wouldn't
have been surprised if I had forgotten my own name, Hi.

Alan,

The short answer is no, you do not have to install a previous release 
in order to install the latest one.

The latest version is 5.2.

Open the Amateur Contact Log link on his website, and you will see the 
instructions for upgrading.

Note that the instructions are different for versions below 4.0.
