Hi John,
I'm already starting to plan for possibly sending out psk31 from my 
apartment.

I've acquired a Dell laptop with a serial port and am going to dedicate it 
strictly to ham radio. I plan to load all my control programs onto it.

I have a Hewlett-Packard laptop as my regular pc hooked to DSl.

I understand that Tigertronics (I may have the name wrong) makes a decent 
usb sound card and that's probably what I'll get.
