That's what want to do as have a 35 amp power supply that can run two higher
power radios on at the same time.

So just need to find a radio either base station type or mobile type that
can be used for both.

I don't know of any base station type radios.  Buy a mobile and a 12v 
supply, if you need small buy a switching supply.
