Hi Bob,
When I was struggling about which notetaker with Windows I should buy I called the National Federation of the Blind International Braille and Technology Center 410-659-9314. I told them I am not very computer literate, and what I wanted to do with the device. They gave me the pros and cons of the Pac Mate, Braille Note and Braille Sense.
It sounds as if you do not need one of these.
If you just want something simple they are still out there.
Call the number I suggested or if you are not in a hurry you might get some opinions here and also in some magazines if you request people's opinions.
