What's 80?  I like an external speaker.  I have also gone in to menu 
18, and changed the receive audio setting to the "a t" setting.  What 
ever that means.  The other setting I change, is the defaullt band 
width for the A M setting to as wide as possible. 5 high cut 0 low 
cut.  I can send you my introduction to the ts480 audio file, but it 
is around 3.5 megs in size.
