an item like this sounds perfect for us with my old manual tuner. I came up with a work around that tracks to others visual reading of the meters, one meter movement wired to each channel of a headphone jack, and then that goes to an audo amplifier and headphones or speakers. it lets you hear wite noise if you key the mic in sub mode for reflected and forward power. I could reliable tune the mfj tuner as quickly as my friend could with the meter visually. if I err get around to digging eh tier out of the closet i will record a demo. I got spoil dbyt he auto tuner in my rig and it end dup int he closet buried somewhere. I ha been looking for an excuse to dig it out nd dust it off. plugging the meter movement circuits into a line input on an amplifier did not effect the reading of the meters according to the ham who did th emod for be back in th day.. funny how you forget old stuff until yo uget reminded by something.

The new ATOM is basically the same as the old one except that it can handle much more power, uses a different battery that is easier to replace, and "ticks" at no power so you'll remember to turn it off. We haven't officially set the price, but I believe it will be around $120.
