Hello Tom, do you use more than AC Log from N3FJP? Or do you just use that
one application?
I purchased the entire CD, more to support him, than to use the other
software.

I hope so, John, because aside from some minor glitches like this, the
software is very usable overall.

Tom
Thanks for contacting Scott. Since he has always went out of his way to help
us I am sure he will come thru again.

John, Mike, and all:

I asked Scott about accessing and displaying all entries in the ARRL 160
meter contest logging software, and he replied that there is a way to do
this by clicking a button on the main logging screen.

I have written back to him, asking if there is a way to do this via a
keyboard command.

I'll let you know what he says.

My sighted XYL found the button with no problem, and the problematic log
entry was corrected by her in a matter of seconds.

So, there is an accessibility issue here.

Wow, that is a real short-coming in the contest logging software, that I
didn't realize existed.

Again, I will ask Scott, but you and Mike may well be correct.

Tom

If you open the Cabrillo file you can edit and send it. As far as I know
there is no way to edit the log only the actual Caerillo file.

Yes, John, you are correct. The e-mail does give me the problematic
contact. From the robot e-mail, I know which contact has the error, but
can't get to it in the actual contest logging software to edit and make the
correction.

When I do a Control Q, I only get the 20 most recent contacts, and this one
is down further on the list.

So, in order to edit the contact, I have to be able to get to it in the log.

Then, once the correction is made, I can re-save the file in Cabrillo
format, and re-submit as the contest robot requests.

I hope this is a little clearer.

Tom
I thought the email gives you the record that is the problem. I think the
error record is at the end of the email.

Subject: N3FJP Logging Software Question

Hi, all.

I tried to submit my log for the ARRL 160 meter CW contest, but I got a
message from the contest robot saying that there is a problem with one of my
log entries.

I suppose I could just keep the submission as is, since the problem is with
only one contact, but I'd like to try to fix and re-submit if I can.

My question is how can you get the entire list of contacts to come up, so
you can then pick the problematic entry to edit?

I can do control Q to get the list of most recent contacts, but can't seem
to get below my first 20 contacts.

I know I managed to get the entire list once, but can't remember what I did.
