Try this direct link using your Lynx browser in Linux.  I tried it and it is 
currently downloading as a test.  I see no reason why it should not work. 
Be sure to copy the whole link--since it might line wrap and you may get an

Armstrong actually won the FM battle more or less.
Television sound was decreed to be FM instead of the AM format
it had originally been in the first US television system used
during the 1930's.

If you want to read an interesting article, lookup the
history of television on wikipedia. You will see it had a
tumultuous early history. Much of the technical specifications
were drafted just before World War II but the war effort
forestalled any changes to the few television systems around the
country until after 1945.

Those of you who followed the switch from analog to
digital TV in 2009 will hear familiar discussions dating back to
the 1930's and 1940's. The digital switchover was done for
almost the same reasons as some of the changes in the early
technology.

Anyway, if there is somewhere else I could get a copy of
that file, I would appreciate knowing where and give it another
try.
