Hi Howard, Unfortunately, I'm Not familiar with this particular RCA super 
radio unit, but a few years ago, I bought the GE Super Radio3, FM AM 
portable, because I couldn't find either an original or a model two at the 
time, and I was bitterly disappointed in that unit as well.  As, although it 
sounds good, for a portable, its' __nowhere near the model 2, and away way 
worse than the super radio 1.  *If what you're talking about is something 
totally different, please forgive the reaction, and acquaint me with what 
you're refering to.
