Bob,

You can enter the ham call in your minutes as letters and dropped number which 
is in accordance with the Computer Braille Code.

The secret is to turn off the Braille translator for that character string.  So, 
to enter my ham call, K 8 S P you would:

1.  Enter dot 4 then dots 3-6 K dropped-8 s p then dot 4 then the letter l
