I never did talk with her, but Ruth had a good signal into Mississippi 
on 75 meters. She was a regular on the Interstate Traffic Net on 3985 
for several years in the late 60s and 70s.

In those days, the Mississippi net was on 3990, and then on 3987.5, so 
I would often hear her when I was tuning down the band from my local net.

In the early 80s, I would also hear her shortwave report on the DX 
Party Line from HCJB.
