Actually, I have to say, as the one who put my speech chips in all my radios 
that would take one, they actually do a great job of making it pretty easy 
to put in. Even my TS-2000 was no problem I found the slot fast and had it 
in and going in only a few minutes. Now I also put the digital recorder 
module in there and I think with that in there the vs-3 will never come out 
again, it's that close but that's fine with me, I don't plan to take either 
one out.
