Hi, Jody. Well, I've definitely run into this problem as well. Apparently,
there are security flags that can be set that make the PDF files not useable
with JFW or Windoweyes. It's definitely frustrating. I run into this
situation quite frequently at work as a computer specialist with the
Department of Defense in Columbus, Ohio. Since we're getting more and more
material in PDF format, we ordered the Kurzweil K!000 OCR software package,
since K1000 can do OCR on PDF files and does a great job of OCR on them.
Sure hope this helps. One other question for you. A while back, you sen an
attachment to the blindhams list of a list of United States Coast Guard
frequencies. I saved the attachment, but yes, I admit it, I'm getting
senile, I sure can't remember the file name. Would you send me that
attachment again, or refresh this senile old man's memory, grin! Let me
know if you have further questions on the whole PDf issue. Happy New Year
to you, and I always enjoy your posts. Brian Zolo
