Hi Lou,

When this has happened to me, the first thing that I did was try to scrape
off all the dry acid that I could. Then I used a damp paper towel to remove
the rest. Hopefully, you'll still have enough battery contact material to
make a connection. Good Luck!

Subject: leaky battery mess

Hey OM's and YL's. I have a couple of devices that, to my =
embarrassment, I've left batteries in while not in use for a long time. =
One of them is the radio shack talking multimeter. I'm sure you can =
imagine what I found when I finally opened them up. What's the best way =
to clean up this mess? Thanks. Lou WA3MIX
