I have the 1223. No birdies yet that I've found and on vacation the last 2 
years it got a ton of night use as well as a ton of events with 1 of the 
local clubs in the last year or so. The thing is 100% quiet so far. I've 
been looking just to see, the reviews seem to suggest as well that the newer 
ones have no birdies at all. I guess some of the first ones did, a few of us 
run these in our go kits around here now and no one's found a complaint yet 
with that.
