Hi Pat,

I have both the FT1D ht and the FTM400DR.  The HT can be used, but the 
tones that the keys give are not very helpful.  You can switch between 
vfo and memory and there is a full keypad on the front of the ht.  The 
most important thing to remember about the System fusion repeaters is 
that they will transmit both analog and C4FM modulation.
