Don and all:

I have had a 2010 for two years now. Used it for about a year, got
discusted with the heterodynes on sw. Sent it off to kiwa for the filter
replacements. Had both filters replaced. If memory serves, it cost me
$120 for filters, labor, and shipping. Some of the best radio money I ever
spent. It cut the frequency response on am a little, but well worth the
selectivity and illimination of the heterodynes on sw. I would recomend
kiwa to anyone. And just for the record, they have a filter replacement
for the dx 390, to improve the audio quality which I always thought was a
bit muddy; especially on ssb with the narrow filter.

I don't have my 390 anymore, sold it to my girlfriend for the cost of
getting the antennna repared when I got the 2010. However, if I had one,
i'd send it to kiwa right away.

I've thought about sending the 2010 up to bruce elving and getting the sca
adapter fitted, but haven't settled on that yet. No reading services
within acceptable receiving range here.

Hope this helps someone. If you want it, just let me know and I'll dig up
kiwa's contact info.
