Again I agree.  Why is it that we have the money to take care of illegals
but not to support our own people?  We don't get adequate Medicare coverage
even if we have a Medicare HMO, and especially those who applied for SSDI
after 1979 when the computation formula was changed to lower future benefits
are royally getting screwed.  Yet Congress still refuses to eliminate the
earnings test for us while doing it for millions of senior citizens.  

And where are our 2 consumer organizations in all this?  Nowhere.  The only
thing the ACB came out with this convention was that we should have the old
senior system where we would lose 1 dollars' worth of benefits for every 2
dollars earned over the SGA level.  I was one of a few who voted no by voice
vote, but it wasn't nearly enough.  That's not nearly enough.  

And I also agree that ADA declared people disabled who were not really
disabled which made them eligible for SSI, SSDI and other benefits.
